Re: White noise for scrying? (black mirror)

From what I understand you want the candle in front of the mirror, but to the side so you cannot see its reflection. Then you get the play of light without the flame drawing your eye away from the abyss. That has been working for me. I dont mind me being in the reflection, though I tilt the mirror s...

Re: Duality and the Human Conidition

Kaos is the greek term for primordial essence. Also spelled "khaos", "χάος", and some others. KHAOS (Chaos) was the first of the primordial gods (protogenoi) to emerge at the dawn of creation. She was followed in quick succession by Gaia (Gaea, Earth), Tartaros (the Pit Below) and Eros (Procreation).

Re: I want to win a free pizza!questions about results ( from a neophyt )

Exactly what Micro said. I will add that I seem to get what I ask for now, very soon after I make the desire known. Only what I ask for and what I want arent always the same thing. Life has been a little dicey lately. :P I am referencing open handed magick, without ritual. Desire made plain. Its bot...

Re: Duality and the Human Conidition

So follow on to this, I met with a professor who wrote his thesis on the duality of human languages. Turns out its down in the roots of all known languages. Binary to our bones. Im thinking that the earliest factor was probably human gender. That seems like the most immediate distinction, on which a...

Re: Practice and study.

dogwolf, that is a hell of a way to say it, but I agree.

The need for proof immediately is the desire for effect, which sabotages the whole thing, because your conscious mind never lets go. Of course there are methods to measure success by the after effects.

Re: Practice and study.

I dont think anything can be mastered. To assume the identify of the master is to declare you know everything, and are therefore incapable of learning. For the record, I have only come into this idea and the goal of humility in the last year or so. So if you had asked before I would have told you ho...

Re: Kaballah of the 9 chambers reduction

In regards to the kaballah of the 9 chambers, I have no idea. I can tell you that the first way I learned was to always reduce to a single digit unless the numbers repeated. That has been my habit at this point, regardless of the methodology I am using.

Re: Sigil Success

Unintended consequences are one of those things that will kick your ass. I spent a lot of time working magickal defenses against that sort of thing. Problem is, you empower it to stop you from doing something stupid, but you try to do something stupid so its your past will against your present will....

Re: Forgetting sigils and evalutating your work

That is convoluted! Ha, but I love that you are using vim and rot13. For sigils I dont forget, in fact I dont forget much, its just a thing. But, what I have learned to do is to observe without attachment, and so that is what I practice in all forms of magick. As to a diary, Im really bad at it. I d...
